Dean's Exception for the 2017 All-University Commencement: As approved by the University's Deans Council, candidates for graduation who have up to two courses outstanding to complete their degree may petition their school dean for eligibility to participate in the All-University Commencement. The two courses must be completed by the end of the summer. Students with extenuating circumstances (for example, international students whose visas expire or who are subject to travel restrictions) will have their situations reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- If you have outstanding coursework, you should not apply for May 2017 graduation. To apply for Summer 2017 graduation, please refer here for instructions.
- Contact Jonathon White, Associate Dean, Students, at firstname.lastname@example.org, to obtain a Dean's Exception Form.
- Because you are a Dean's Exception for Commencement, you cannot order All-University Commencement tickets in advance. Further information regarding ticket distribution will be provided to you once your exception is approved.
- The Dean's Exception form allows you to request a maximum of 2 guest tickets; limited ticketing only applies to All-University Commencement. Students will receive the full number of guest tickets for the GLS Baccalaureate ceremony.
