I have taught at Liberal Studies since 1998. I have also taught at Würzburg University, Germany, and at La Pietra in Florence. My background is in comparative literature. I am particularly interested in the question of the origins of art, literature, and religion. In this respect, I have found the anthropologies of René Girard, Emile Durkheim, and Eric Gans useful.
