The American Philosophies Forum convened in New Orleans for its 11th annual conference the first week of April. The theme of the conference was "Memory, mood, hope, and agency". Dr. Brendan Hogan and Dr. Lawrence Marcelle delivered a paper developing themes in the thought of John Dewey and Ludwig Wittgenstein titled "Actionable Consequences: reconstruction, therapy, and the remainder of social science". They critically examined the methodology of both neoclassical economics and behavioral economics from each thinkers' perspective.
