The New Yorker magazine recently covered a Liberal Studies class field trip led by Robin Nagle. "Barren Island's Treasure Trove" followed the class on a visit to Brooklyn's Dead Horse Bay, where students sought clues to the past on the edge of a defunct landfill. Nagle led the co-curricular trip for the Liberal Studies Dean's Circle, an honors class that was studying sustainable cities.
Nagle is a professor in Liberal Studies and author of Picking Up: On the Streets and Behind the Trucks with the Sanitation Workers of New York City.
