Liberal Studies congratulates Professor Christopher Packard for receiving the 2018–2019 Arnold Grossman Faculty Award! Named after Dr. Arnold Grossman, professor of Applied Psychology at NYU and two-time alumnus who contributed to the creation of the LGBTQ Student Center, the Arnold Grossman Faculty Award honors a faculty member for their commitment to education, outreach, and advocacy that centers queer and trans understandings of the world. Recipients have gone above and beyond to mentor, support, and empower queer and trans students to reach their full potential. Packard was presented with his award by LS sophomore Ward Hejazi during Lavender Graduation, a student committee planned ceremony that honors graduating LGBTQ+ students as well as students, staff, faculty, alumni, and organizations within NYU for their positive impacts towards LGBTQ+ inclusivity and equity.
